Note: the images below are just snapshots of a real
ANIMOIDS session. You can't click on these buttons nor
make the Animoid move!
Introduction
You'll be glad to hear that compared to moving points, adding
points (nodes) is easy!
As you move points on your Animoids you might find that you can't
add the level of detail you are looking for because there are too
few points to move. When that happens, you use the following procedure
to add as many new points as you need.
It's often useful to move the basic Animoid's points as close as possible to
what you think the final product will be before adding new points. That way,
the new points will probably be moved less.
Add Points
First select the Add Point action:
to bring up the ADD POINT Control Panel:
Next, you display your selected segment as a
Wireframe then
pick two
adjacent points on that frame, as shown:
Next click the Add Point button on the ADD POINT Control Panel.
That will add a new point midway between the two selected points:
The new point won't automatically be highlighted (picked). But it is usable
(for moving or for adding even more points) just like any other point on the
segment.
Note, if you:
- Select points that are not together,
- Select more or less than two points
you'll get an appropriate error message when you click the Add Point button.
